SMS program terms

1. The program

Fate Media Creative operates a text message program for one purpose: getting you through the booth and getting your photographs to you. If you sign up at one of our booths, we text you about your place in line, then the images you appear in from that event, plus a link to your gallery.

This is a transactional program. We do not send marketing, promotions, sponsor offers or newsletters through it.

Who the messages come from. The messages are sent by us — Fate Studios Creative, LLC, trading as Fate Media Creative — and they are carried by DM Tags, the booth software we run our photo stations on. Every message names both, and they begin like this:

Fate Studios (via DM Tags): You’re up at Spring Gala. You have 10 min. …

The name in front is ours, and it is word for word the name on the box you tick to opt in. A message naming anyone you did not sign up with is not part of this program. DM Tags carries our messages and does not send you anything of its own.

2. How you join

You join by entering your mobile number at a booth sign-up page and ticking a separate box, unticked by default, agreeing to receive text messages from Fate Studios (via DM Tags) about your place in line and when your photos are ready. Nobody enters your number for you. Ticking that box is your express consent to be messaged at that number about that event; leaving it alone means you are not texted.

Numbers are never bought, never imported from a list and never taken from a third party — not by us and not by DM Tags. The only way a number enters this program is a guest typing it into that form and ticking that box.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase, of attending an event, or of receiving your photographs — you can choose email delivery instead. Consent applies to the event you signed up at. Signing up at one event does not enrol you for another.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies with how often you are photographed. A typical attendee receives between 1 and 10 messages during and shortly after an event. Someone photographed frequently — a speaker, a host, a member of the leadership team — may receive more. Messages stop when the event's delivery window closes, usually within a few days.

4. Cost

We do not charge for the program. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier, particularly for picture messages. Check your plan if you are unsure, and choose email delivery if you would rather not use messaging data.

5. Stopping messages

Reply STOP to any message to end it. We will send one confirmation and then nothing further for that event. STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE and QUIT all work.

Opting out stops the messages. It does not by itself delete your photographs or your face template — to request that, see the biometric data notice or email info@fatemediacreative.com.

If you opt out and later want your remaining photographs, reply START or contact us and we will send them another way.

6. Getting help

Reply HELP to any message for support information, or email info@fatemediacreative.com or call (619) 495-2320. That email reaches Fate Media directly.

The HELP auto-reply returns support@dmtags.com, the support line of DM Tags, the booth platform that carries our texts. Both addresses are monitored, so write to whichever you prefer.

7. Carriers and delivery

The program is supported on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Boost, Cricket, Metro by T-Mobile, Google Fi and most regional and MVNO carriers. Carrier support can change without notice.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery also depends on venue network conditions, your device, your plan and whether the number entered at sign-up was correct. If your photos do not arrive, contact us and we will send them by email.

8. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder or an authorised user of the mobile number you enter. Do not enter someone else's number. If you change or give up your number, tell us so we do not message its new owner.

9. Privacy

We use your mobile number to deliver your photographs and for nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with sponsors or advertisers. We share it with DM Tags, the booth platform that carries our texts, and with the messaging providers behind it, under contracts limiting them to that purpose. Numbers are deleted within 90 days of the event unless you asked to stay in touch, and opt-out records are kept as long as needed to honour the opt-out. See our privacy policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
